Jasper: Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas Carter recognized Master Trooper Detective David Henderson for serving the Indiana State Police for 20 years.

Henderson is a native of Orleans and a 1989 graduate of Orleans High School. After high school, Henderson attended Vincennes University, graduating in 1991 with an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement.

Henderson graduated on December 20, 1993 from the 50th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy. He was assigned to the Jasper District and patrolled Daviess, Martin and Orange counties. Throughout his career, Henderson has been involved in many facets of the department, including working in the Problem Oriented Policing squad, being a Crime Scene Investigator and a defensive tactics instructor. In January, 2010, Henderson was promoted to Detective, serving as an investigator within the Jasper District.

Master Trooper Detective Henderson and his wife, Heather, reside in Orleans with their two children, Whitley and Drew.
