End Date: 3/9/2014
Entry Description
Vigo County—On March 8, 2014, the Indiana State Police with assistance of the DEA and the Vigo County Drug Task Force completed a four month investigation that ultimately dismantled a methamphetamine organization based in Terre Haute and caused the arrest of five individuals. The following persons were arrested in the Terre Haute area yesterday and all were preliminarily charged with Dealing Methamphetamine, Class A felony.

Arrested: Marcus McKinley Pizzola, age 35, Terre Haute, IN.
Stacy L. Holden, age 32, Terre Haute, IN.
Robert E. Richey Sr., age 54, West Terre Haute, IN.
Steven Scank, age 42, West Terre Haute, IN.
Jon Bryan, age 48, Terre Haute, IN.

The five were incarcerated in the Vigo County Jail.

During the four month investigation, Marcus Pizzola was obtaining four pound quantities of crystal methamphetamine twice a month from multiple sources in Atlanta, Georgia. Pizzola transported the methamphetamine to Vigo County for further distribution by mid-level and street level dealers. Pizzola, during the last eight months, distributed in excess of 50 pounds of methamphetamine. As a result of this investigation and the serving of four Vigo County Court search warrants yesterday, the Indiana State Police seized approximately four pounds of methamphetamine, $12,000 in cash, five pounds of suspected marijuana, and 12 firearms. The marijuana was also imported from the State of Georgia by Pizzola.

Yesterday, Pizzola was stopped and arrested on US 41 near Pimento (Vigo County) as he returned from the Atlanta, Georgia area. During the traffic stop, officers found approximately three and a half pounds of methamphetamine and one pound of marijuana.

The estimated street value of 50 pounds of methamphetamine is $1.1 million.
The estimated street value of 4 pounds of marijuana is $16,000.

Additional charges against the five are pending.
