[26] Rep. Truitt responds to House Bill 1002 passing in the House
Start Date: 3/13/2014Start Time: 11:00 PM
Entry Description
State Representative Randy Truitt (R- West Lafayette) issued the following statement in response to House Bill (HB) 1002, which deals with road funding, passing the House of Representatives.

“I am pleased with the passage of our agenda bill, House Bill 1002, which will transfer up to $400 million to improve and maintain our state’s highway infrastructure. With this transfer of funds Indiana will be eligible to leverage nearly $1.6 billion in federal funds to go towards roads projects, such as widening an eight-mile section of Interstate 65 near Lafayette. This increase in investments in roads will allow thousands of new jobs to come to Indiana creating new economic growth.”
