Where Do the Funds Go?
Regional Block Grant (RBG)
This amount is based on historical levels of IAC organizational support for small arts organizations and for arts projects of schools and other community-based organizations. These funds are allocated using a formula that takes into account regional per capita population and are to be utilized solely for re-granting within each region.
Regonal Arts Partners Operating Support (RAPOS)
Only those Regional Arts Partners whose mission is to provide local arts programs and services are eligible to request funds for Regional Arts Partners Operating Support (RAPOS). These programs must be designed to provide public access to educational opportunities where Indiana citizens can learn about the arts, experience art forms, participate in, and enjoy arts and cultural activities. The Regional Arts Partner may plan and deliver these arts activities directly and/or contract with other providers through a grant making process.
How is Funding Determined?
The following criteria assess the Arts Development Services (ADS) and Regional Arts Partners Operating Support (RAPOS) for each IAC organization. The ADS score determines the amount of funding each Partner will receive beyond its ADS base funding. The RAPOS score determines funding for each Partner’s RAPOS.
- Quality: The proposed activities will be of the highest quality possible in relation to community standards, expectations, and resources
- Community Impact/Public Benefit: The proposed activities will have a significant impact in the region the organization serves.
- Management: The organization delivering the proposed activities will be well managed.
