The Indiana State Excise Police are the law enforcement division of the Indiana Alcohol & Tobacco Commission and are fully certified police officers with powers across the state of Indiana.  The primary mission of the agency is to provide professional and efficient law enforcement service with an emphasis on Indiana's alcohol & tobacco laws.

Persons interested in a career with the Indiana State Excise Police should review the basic applicant qualifications listed on our Employment Information page. If you meet the qualifications and would like to be notified when the next hiring process begins, complete and submit an Employment Notification Form.

NOTICE: The deadline to submit a pre-application for the 2015 Indiana State Excise Police hiring process has passed. If you submitted your information prior to midnight, E.S.T. on July 1st, you will be contacted soon with details on the upcoming phases of the process.  If you submitted your information after the July 1st deadline, your contact information will be retained in our database and you will be notified the next time our agency holds a hiring process  Please be sure to keep your information up to date.  However, submitting the same information several times is not necessary and will not increase your chances of being hired.
