The Office of the Indiana Attorney General helps protect the rights, freedoms and safety you enjoy as a citizen of the Hoosier state. Attorney General Greg Zoeller and his staff are dedicated to meeting the state's legal needs, as well as the needs and interests of its citizens.
An investigation into the BP gasoline recall has been opened by the Attorney General’s Office to ensure consumers’ rights are protected. Motorists who purchased gasoline around the state between August 13-26 at BP and other retail outlets have reported car problems as a result of tainted gasoline.
Consumers who purchased gasoline during this time period are encouraged to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office even if they have not experienced problems.
BP also asks customers to call its hotline at 1.800.333.3991 or email bpconsum@bp.com if their vehicles were affected by the tainted gasoline.
