FCC approves blocking of robocalls, robotexts

The FCC recently declared that the Telephone Consumer Protection Act allows phone carriers to block robocalls and robotexts before they reach residential landlines or cell phones. State attorneys general have been urging for these rule changes to protect peoples' telephone privacy rights. More information about the updates can be found here.

Now, Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller is asking phone carriers to offer robocall blocking to customers as soon as possible. Check with your service provider about how you can block unwanted calls. Sign up for Indiana's Do Not Call List here.
