Attorney General Greg Zoeller joined forces once again in 2012 with the Indiana State Bar Association and Feeding Indiana’s Hungry (FIsH) for the fourth annual March Against Hunger food drive.
March Against Hunger is a friendly competition between law firms to raise the most donations – either of non perishable foods or direct monetary contributions – for Indiana’s 11 regional food banks.
"I am very proud of the members of my profession who have stepped up once again - and in a big way - to help put food on the tables of those struggling in our state," Zoeller said. "By increasing our efforts for this year we have tried to help families who continue to struggle and are in need of the most basic necessities."
In 2012, 51 law firms in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio participated in the March Against Hunger and raised more 11,404 pounds of food and $51,822, - which is the equivalent of 270,515 pounds or 135 tons of food.
Zoeller presented the 2012 Attorney General’s Cup to the biggest donating firms in five categories.
