House Enrolled Act 1210

When plaintiffs file lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of a state statute, the Indiana Attorney General's Office is obligated to defend the state statute in court.

House Enrolled Act 1210 is a state statute passed by the Indiana General Assembly April 29, 2011 and signed into law May 10, 2011 dealing with Medicaid funding eligibility for medical providers that offer abortion services.

House Enrolled Act 1210, now known as Public Law 193-2011, is currently the subject of a legal challenge to its constitutionality filed by plaintiffs May 10 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Below are court documents in the case:
