Sex and Violent Offender Registry

The Internet continues to explode in popularity among young people. More and more teens every day keep in touch through instant messaging, social networking sites (such as myspace.com) and cell phone text messaging. Unfortunately, this electronic forum has given sexual predators unprecedented access to our children.

To help protect your children from sexual predators, Attorney General Steve Carter offers an e-mail notification system to keep Hoosiers informed of new sex offenders in their communities. The attorney general also provides the mapping function of the site which allow you to search for all sex offenders in your area. Registration is only required for the notification portion of the site, while the mapping function is available at all times. Staying informed is one of the best ways to help protect your family.
