Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles customers can now renew vehicle registrations at five Old National Bank branches as part of a pilot program launched July 1, 2008. BMV Commissioner Ron Stiver and Old National Bank CEO and President Bob Jones officially announced the new partnership at the Old National Bank branch located on Burkhardt Road in Evansville.
"A key component of our efforts to improve customer service in recent years has been creating new, convenient ways for Hoosiers to conduct their BMV business without the need to visit a license branch," said Stiver. "Today we are proud to partner with Indiana-based Old National Bank to take yet another step forward in these efforts."
"Old National has a 174-year history of supporting Indiana communities. This innovative approach provides a convenient alternative for local community members needing to renew their registration," commented Jones. "We are proud to once again partner with the BMV to fulfill the needs and interest of our communities."
A separate self-service BMV computer terminal has been installed in the lobby of each bank location where customers can renew their registrations. When the transaction is complete, the customer will receive the registration documents from a bank teller. If the customer is due for a new license plate, it will be mailed to the customer's home within 7-12 days.
