Research Associate
Karlye Maloney is the Traffic Safety Research Associate for the Research and Planning Division of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
Karlye recently earned her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. While living in the greater Cincinnati area, she worked in the private sector of criminal justice as an external investigator for a large retail corporation. Prior to living in Cincinnati, Karlye received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology (Criminology track) from Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana.
Throughout her academic and professional career, Karlye has conducted and participated in several research studies, including having participated in The Cleveland Traffic Stop Study (University of Cincinnati, Department of Criminal Justice), as well as having written The Effect of Sex Offender Registration Laws on Florida Crime Rates, an original policy analysis. Her areas of research interest include program and process evaluation and effectiveness.
Karlye now resides in Marion County and plans to return to school to pursue her doctoral degree in Criminal Justice.
