Research & Planning Division Director
Joshua Ross graduated from South Ripley High School in Versailles, Indiana in 1992. After a three year enlistment in the U.S. Army, he enrolled at Indiana University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice in 2000. Josh entered the graduate program at IU the same year, earning a M.A. in criminal justice in 2005. He is currently enrolled in the doctoral program in criminal justice at IU.
Josh’s first foray into field-related work occurred in 2003, when he took a position with Marion County Probation as a probation officer. There he served as a casework officer, which included supervising caseloads of probationers convicted of crimes of domestic violence and monitoring homeless probationers.
Josh began at ICJI in November 2005 as a research associate. Shortly after being promoted to research manager in July 2006 he was asked to fill in as Youth Division Director on an interim basis. Josh returned to Research upon the naming of a permanent Youth Division director.
