ICJI > Application Information > How the Grant Process Works at ICJI How the Grant Process Works at ICJI

Summary of the New E-grants Process

The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) does not accept unsolicited applications. ICJI publically announces funding availability on its website under Current Open Funding Opportunities. Funding announcement guidelines are provided for each funding announcement and clearly describe eligibility requirements. Current or potential applicants may also receive funding announcement notifications by signing up for Subscription Notifications.

Most of ICJI's funding opportunities are offered on a competitive basis. Proposals received are reviewed and scored according to criteria stated in each competitive funding announcement. Consistent with the amount of funding available, one or more proposals with the highest scores will be invited to submit an application.

Applications are thereafter submitted to ICJI for consideration and approval of funding is determined at the regular quarterly board meetings.
