Older Youth Services Summary for RFP Posting 2024

The Department of Child Services (DCS) is seeking proposals for the administration of the Chafee / Older Youth Services (OYS) Programs. The goal of OYS is to provide independent living instructional and experiential learning to youth in foster care, provide transitional services to youth who are expected to age out of foster care, extended foster care placement and supervision for those youth who want to voluntarily remain or re-enter foster care, and provide older youth services for young adult who voluntarily want to participate in OYS after they have aged out of foster care.

The purpose of the RFP is to select vendors that can satisfy the Department’s need for the provision of the Chafee / OYS program in one of the identified services areas that represent a collective of several regions and their corresponding 92 local offices in the State. DCS will be seeking venders to provide regional coverage within the service area.

Indiana Youth Advisory Board Summary for RFP#002526 Posting 2024

The Department of Child Services (DCS) is seeking proposals for the administration of the Indiana Youth Advisory Board (IYAB). IYAB is a well-established youth-led board that prepare its members to take on leadership roles on the local, state, and national level, as well as within their lives.  The vision of this board is to enable Indiana's foster youth to advocate for themselves and communicate effectively by increasing awareness of rights, responsibilities, and resources to ensure successful transitions.

The purpose of this RFP is to select one IYAB vendor that can satisfy the Department’s need for the provision of co-facilitation and coordination of IYAB. Thereby, developing youth-adult partnerships, educating the community, and assisting the youth in fulfilling leadership roles of advocating for themselves and others. This youth-lead collaboration will engage youth in various ways as described in the Indiana Youth Advisory Board Service Standards as well as provide stipends and compensation for their lived experiences.

Intensive Foster Care Services RFP

The purpose of this RFP is to select multiple Intensive Foster Care Services providers that can satisfy DCS’s need for the statewide provision of Intensive Foster Care and Intensive Respite Care Services. Intensive Foster Care Services are services provided to children with intensive medical, mental, emotional, and/or behavioral needs who may need additional support to ensure placement stability. These services are provided with the goal of preparing the foster parent(s) to provide care and support for the child without the need for additional services from either DCS or other providers.
