The Mobile Simulation Laboratory (MSL) is available to the entire state free of charge. The purpose of the MSL is to provide simulation training to the EMS Community, especially the parts of the state that do not have access to the high-fidelity simulation technology. The mannequin is a high-fidelity METI simulator. The simulator can do almost anything imaginable, including simulating a complex heart attack, to an allergic reaction, to reacting to medications, to even a pregnant female. This high-tech simulator is complex machine that will improve patient care and provide the EMS Community with a valuable tool and we hope that the entire state will take advantage of this new program being offered by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security. |
