The state is sponsoring a special youth duck season this weekend and the entire FWA will be available for youth hunters to duck hunt. The property is also allowing a youth to take turkey with firearms this weekend. (The property is normally archery only during the fall turkey season).
Both of these hunts require either a youth license (which require hunter’s ed.) or an apprentice license for kids who have not completed a hunter’s education course. Snacks will be provided prior to the morning hunt and lunch will be served at 11:30. Door prizes will be given away as available. Contact Minnehaha FWA for more information, 812-268-5640.
