Lake Michigan Coastal Program Grants
Indiana Coastal Grants Program Indiana receives an annual allotment from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for projects to protect and restore natural, cultural and historic resources in Indiana's Lake Michigan coastal region.
Basic Information about LMCP Grants
Approximately $600,000 of this funding is available to local entities for projects meeting the program criteria for the 2015 grant cycle. Federal appropriations for the 2015 grant cycle are not yet set, as such all projects that receive state approval will be considered conditionally approved. If Federal Appropriations for 2015 are less than for 2014, projects may receive a prorated award amount reflecting the difference in funding shortfall. The DNR Lake Michigan Coastal Program administers the Indiana Coastal Grants Program. The Indiana Coastal Grants Program is comprised of two components: (1) Large Scale Grant Program; and (2) Small Scale Grant Program.
2015 Funding Cycle
To help celebrate 200 years of statehood (2016) for the State of Indiana, for the 2015 grant cycle only, seven bonus points will be given to grant applications for land acquisition projects which also intend to take advantage of the DNR’s Bicentennial Nature Trust grant program. These two grant programs are eligible to match each other’s funding. Get more information about the Bicentennial Nature Trust.
2015 Pre-proposals are due on Friday, September 12, 2014 by 5 p.m. Central time.
Small Grants Program
Lake Michigan Coastal Program Area

Coastal Program Area (Shapefile)
The Coastal Zone Management Act Section 306A Guidance requires that construction and acquisition projects provide a broad based lasting public benefit.
