Recognizing the importance of aquatic resources education, the Indiana Division of Fish and Wildlife in conjunction with the Federal Sport Fish Restoration Program have developed Go FishIN, an educational program designed to provide fishing information to Hoosiers.

The program consists of classroom activities and fishing field trips designed to improve students' knowledge and appreciation of Indiana's aquatic resources. Schools, 4-H, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, park departments and many other community groups are ideal organizations for participating in this program. Lessons are designed for young teenage audiences.Go FishIN

Go FishIN, is administered through a volunteer network  of facilitators that are trained by the DNR's Go FishIN coordinator.  All Go FishIN Crew Captains have the opportunity to go through the eight hour workshop to become a facilitator.  This level of training enables them to teach other educators how to administer the Go FishIN program.

If you are interested in becoming a Go FishIN crew captain contact the coordinator at gofishin@dnr.IN.gov.
