paved bike trailIndiana has made a lot of progress creating greenways since 2005. The 2006 IN State Trails, Greenways and Bikeways Plan called for a drastic increase in trails. Many of the new trails are hardened surface trails that are great for walking and biking. The trails serve not only a recreational need for Hoosiers, but they connect areas and are great alternative transportation corridors. The longer trails are often built on old railroad corridors.

To locate paved bike trails, see our trail inventory website and check the bicycle box to see the trails.
