Women Veterans Coordinators Directory

If you were a victim of a personal assault while a member of the Armed Forces you may be entitled to benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Personal assault includes rape, physical assault, domestic battering, robbery, mugging, and stalking.

If you need counseling or other medical treatment as a result of sexual trauma while on active duty, you do not need to file a claim to be entitled to treatment. You may request professional counseling by contacting one of the VA Medical Centers' or Vet Centers' Women Veteran Coordinators.

You may file a claim for compensation due to a current condition caused by personal assault while on active duty. For assistance in filing a personal assault claim Indiana VA Regional Office at 1-800-827-1000 and request to speak with the women veterans’ coordinator.

You may also contact any of the other Women Veteran Coordinators regarding medical treatment or counseling. You also may file a claim or be eligible to receive treatment for any other injuries or diseases incurred while on active duty.
