Workforce Opportunities Tax Credit (WOTC)
The Work Opportunities Tax Credit (WOTC) is a program that encourages employers to hire Veterans through sizeable tax credits. Your company may be eligible.
- If you hire a veteran receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits and pay them at least $6,000 in wages per year you could receive a $2,400 tax credit.
- You may be eligible for a $2,400 tax credit if you hire a veteran who has been unemployed for at least 4 weeks and they earn at least $6,000 per year in wages from the job.
- You could receive up to $4,800 in tax credit for hiring a veteran with a service-connected disability who has been unemployed for at least 6 months if they earn at least $12,000 per year in wages from the job.
To apply, fill out IRS form 8850 and ETA form 9061 below and mail them both to:
