April 16, 2014 - The Bureau of Child Care is pleased to announce the recipients of the Early Education Matching Grants. Read the press release.
The Early Education Matching Grant (EEMG) Program was created by the Indiana General Assembly during the last legislative session IC12-17.2-3.7. This competitive grant will increase the enrollment of eligible low income four year olds in high quality PreK programs. This competitive grant is available to early care and education programs, including licensed and registered child care programs, that are rated level 3 or level 4 on Paths to QUALITY™, Indiana’s child care quality rating and improvement system. Applicants must also meet the other eligibility criteria, including a cash match requirement.
Programs who are awarded the grant will be required to administer the ISTAR-KR. Click here for a brief introduction to the ISTAR-KR. Additional information about the ISTAR-KR can be found on the Indiana Department of Education's website.
The Bureau of Child Care offered several information sessions to answer questions about the grant. Click here for a copy of the presentation used during the information sessions.
