The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute is seeking applications for the sub-grantee component of the state portion from the formula-based allocation of the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Victims Assistance Grant Program.

The State VOCA program will solicit applications from local governments and non-profit and other community-based organizations. Services under this grant program are defined as those efforts that:

  • Respond to the emotional and physical needs of a crime victim.
  • Assist primary and secondary victims of crime to stabilize their lives after victimization.
  • Assist victims to participate and understand the criminal justice system.
  • Provide victims of crime a measure of safety and security.

Amount Available: $875,900

Eligible Applicants: Units of local governments (state and local courts including juvenile courts, law enforcement, prosecutors), nonprofits, nongovernmental victim service programs, including faith –based and community organizations. Grantees must provide direct victim services. Information on how to apply for these sub-grants is posted at www.in.gov/cji.
