The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute is seeking applications for the sub-grantee component of the state portion from the formula-based allocation of the STOP Violence Against Women Grant Program.

The State STOP program will solicit applications from local governments and non-profit and other community-based organizations. The State must follow a formula for distributing funds:

  • At least 5% for state and local courts, including juvenile courts
  • At least 25% for law enforcement
  • At least 25% for prosecutors
  • At least 30% for non-profit, non-governmental victim services, of which at least 10% is to be distributed to culturally specific community-based organizations.
  • The remaining 15% of funds may be spent at the state’s discretion in accordance with program purposes. Allocations may not be redistributed or transferred across other allocation areas.

Amount Available: $2,539,745

Eligible Applicants: Units of local governments (state and local courts including juvenile courts, law enforcement, prosecutors), nonprofits, nongovernmental victim service programs, including faith –based and community organizations. Grantees must provide direct victim services.
