Daniels’ AFC Championship wager to benefit charity

January 22, 2010— Governor Mitch Daniels has agreed to another friendly wager, this one with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on the outcome of Sunday’s Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Jets AFC Championship game.

"At least we know this week that Governor Christie will hold up his end of the deal if he loses," said Daniels, who will host Christie at Sunday's game.

If the Jets win, Really Cool Foods in Cambridge City will send 50 cases of some of its healthy, natural menu specialties to New Jersey, and Governor Christie will donate them to a New Jersey charitable organization. During a morning radio show appearance, Christie offered a cake from Carlo's City Hall Bake Shop in Hoboken, New Jersey.  The bakery is featured on the television show Cake Boss on TLC.

Really Cool Foods opened a state-of-the-art production and distribution center in Indiana in 2008; the company also moved its headquarters from New York City to Cambridge City. The company makes restaurant quality, fresh prepared foods including chicken parmigiana, lemon thyme grilled chicken and handmade lasagna.

If the Colts win Sunday's game, Really Cool Foods has agreed to donate the 50 cases of food to the charity of Governor Daniels’ choice.
