INDIANAPOLIS – A Habitat for Humanity home is being built at the Indiana State Fair and will be moved for a family in need in the coming weeks.

INDIANAPOLIS – It’s a brave woman who will let her picture be featured on a billboard next to the words “Year of Pigs.” But Cheri Daniels, wife of Gov. Mitch Daniels, can be seen smiling on a billboard on Fall Creek Boulevard as she cradles a black-and-white piglet, touting Indiana’s State Fair and its theme this year honoring pigs.

Of course, she might not have been smiling for long. The governor, speaking Friday at the Indiana Pork Producers’ ham breakfast at the opening of the State Fair, told the crowd that moments after the picture was taken, the piglet “peed all over her.”

Sue Errington. After sharing more "heart"-felt tips (exercising, keeping your cholesterol in check and quitting smoking), Daniels said she was confident "we can make this state a heart-healthy state."
