Assignment 12: Learn about Japanese culture

First Lady Cheri Daniels completed her twelfth assignment for Cheri's Chores with the help of the Japan- America Society of Indiana.
First Lady Cheri Daniels was able to learn about four different aspects of Japanese culture while she visited the Bridges to Japan exhibit at the Indiana State Fair.
The first lady was taught about the intricacies associated with dressing in a kimono. To learn about the step by step process, please click each individual photo.
Mrs. Daniels learned about different Japanese gardening techniques.
The first lady was able to watch a show featuring the traditional Japanese puppetry known as Bunraku.
First Lady Cheri Daniels was introduced to both the PARO and Wakamaru robots while visiting the Bridges to Japan exhibit.
After learning more about Japanese culture, Mrs. Daniels has a deeper appreciation for the history and traditions of Japan. She felt extremely fortunate to have been given this opportunity.
