IDEM's E-News System brings you information on the agency's programs, events and environmental emergencies first. This system allows media, reporters, citizens and interested parties, to sign up for access to instant e-mail news releases, press information and advisories issued throughout the state.
How Do You Sign Up?
Major media market areas have determined the Regions; therefore, you must subscribe for e-mail notification on a region-by-region basis. Select the region you are interested in on the map below or from the list located beside the map. Complete the electronic subscription form.
Can I Sign Up for More than One Region?
Yes. You can sign up for as many regions as you'd like, repeating the subscription process for each new region.
If you no longer wish to receive E-News notifications, you may unsubscribe in the same manner that you originally subscribed. When you subscribe, please note, there is also an area to unsubscribe.

- North Central: South Bend, Elkhart, Plymouth & Warsaw

- Central: Indianapolis, Muncie, Columbus & Richmond

When Will I Get E-mail News Releases or Notices?
You will receive an e-mail news release or notice each time that IDEM issues a press notification for the area of the state for which you subscribed. The service is free and email will be sent directly to your email account. It is your responsibility to notify us immediately if your e-mail address changes. If you wish to continue receiving the publication(s), you must re-subscribe with your new address and unsubscribe your old address
Can I Reply to An E-Mail Notification?
No. While this automated e-mail system does not allow you to respond to IDEM E-Mail notifications, each press release or notification includes the name, phone number and e-mail address of an IDEM media team member who can be contacted for additional information.
