IDEM is providing information and assistance to citizens, local governments, public drinking water utilities, wastewater treatment facilities and livestock operations in areas impacted by severe weather.
IDEM is working to provide technical assistance and regulatory information to public drinking water systems who are experiencing operational problems due to severe weather. Drinking water operators should contact Liz Melvin with IDEM’s Drinking Water Branch at (317) 308-3366 or lmelvin at idem.IN.gov to request technical assistance or report problems.
IDEM is working to provide technical assistance and regulatory information to wastewater treatment facilities experiencing operational problems due to severe weather. Wastewater operators should contact Don Daily with IDEM’s Wastewater Compliance Branch at (317) 234-2579 or ddaily at idem.IN.gov to request assistance or report problems.
IDEM, with the assistance of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, is available to provide livestock operations with technical assistance related to emergency storage in wet weather and the proper management of chemical fertilizer.
