Public Entrances and State House Security

The Indiana Department of Administration has instituted new security measures throughout the Capitol. These measures include weapons restrictions inside Government Center buildings, and designated visitor entrances to the State House.

Public entry is now available at the following building entrances:

  • Upper leave east doors, closest to Capitol Ave. and Market St..
  • Lower level, west doors, with access from Robert D. Orr Plaza (ADA accessible).

Visitors will be required to pass through metal detectors, and all bags and packages will be x-rayed and may be subject to further inspection.
