  • P3 proposal cuts cost, time of East End Crossing construction
    INDIANAPOLIS (Nov 16, 2012) – The East End Crossing of the Louisville-Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project will be completed dramatically under budget and ahead of schedule with a public-private partnership (P3) proposal announced today. The Indiana Finance Authority (IFA) Board this morning made the preliminary selection of WVB East End Partners, a team of Walsh Investors LLC, VINCI Concessions S.A.S., Bilfinger Berger PI International Holding GmbH and other regional, national and international firms.

  • Walsh Construction is apparent winning team to build Downtown Crossing for Bridges Project
    FRANKFORT (Nov. 15, 2012) – Walsh Construction Co. is the apparent winning team that will build the Downtown Crossing of the Ohio River Bridges Project, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced today.

    The team’s “apparent best value” bid included a projected completion date of December 2016 at a construction cost of $860 million. That is more than a year and a half ahead of deadline and $90 million less than the cabinet’s preliminary cost estimate of $950 million.
