Property not sold to local units of government or that had an original acquisition cost of less than $2,500 may be offered to the general public through sealed bid or public auction. A list of items to be sold is not available.

State Surplus Warehouse Sales

Indiana State Surplus holds warehouse sales at its downtown Indianapolis facility, located at 601 W. McCarty St.. All warehouse sales use a Public Drop Box Sealed Bid procedure.

Bidders must register in order to bid.

Bidder registration occurs on the day(s) of the sale, at which time bid packets will also be distributed. Bid packets are not distributed prior to the sale dates.

  • Payment is due upon notification of award.
  • Payment must be in the form of cash, certified check, cashier's check or money order. No exceptions.
  • Additional rules and regulations will be given to registered bidders.
  • Bids are accepted on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Warehouse sales are currently scheduled for: 

  • Tuesday, December 2, 2008 and Wednesday, December 3, 2008

The State of Indiana, by this invitation, does not hold itself out as a merchant in the ordinary course of selling such property, and expressly disclaims any warranties, expressed or implied, as to its merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all such property shall be sold on an "as is" basis, with award to the highest and best bidder. The State of Indiana reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
