*Notice to Visitors at Pendleton Correctional Facility: As of January 4, 2013, visitation to D1 in I-complex has been restored and the facility is operating under its normal visitation schedule. Indiana Adult Jail Standards

Authorized by IC 11-12-4-1, The Adult Jail Standards and Rules were prepared and drafted in close cooperation with a representative group of Sheriff’s from the State and the State Sheriff’s Association.   Consistent with the laws of Indiana and the objectives of the Department of Correction, it is the purpose of the standards to be sufficiently flexible to foster the development of new and improved practices and to accommodate local needs and circumstances.
