The Re-Entry Division promotes and encourages a culture of accountability and collaboration. The Indiana Department of Correction values targeted programming to establish a comprehensive re-entry model that advocates for a skilled and ready workforce. Together we recognize that many incarcerated individuals will be released into the community. Released citizens  will be on parole, probation, or discharged. To increase potential for successful community reintegration, it is necessary that returning citizens be provided quality programming and resources both post and pre-release.   • Re-Entry

    The Re-Entry Division, utilizing evidence-based practices, promotes the assessment of each offender's criminogenic needs and encourages a culture of accountability and collaboration. We value targeted programming to establish a comprehensive Re-Entry model that advocates for a skilled and ready workforce.

  • Community Corrections

    In partnership with state and local criminal justice agencies and Community Corrections Advisory Boards, work collaboratively to develop community corrections programs utilized by local courts and the Department of Correction (IDOC) to supervise, sanction and treat offenders in the community as an alternative to incarceration.

  • HIRE

    HIRE provides work opportunities, and skill building education to help prevent adult incarceration by focusing on placing clients who have completed certification training in and out of facility clients into employment that will give them a livable wage and career path for success. The HIRE program also established a presence in IDOC juvenile facilities to help reduce juvenile recidivism.
