Indiana does not have a separate LTC license. Producers must hold either an Accident & Health or Life, Accident & Health license to sell LTC insurance.
Before marketing, selling or soliciting any LTC products, all producers must initially complete:
Agents wanting to market policies in the Indiana Long Term Care Program (ILTCP) must initially have 15 hours of continuing education (eight hours in LTC and seven hours in ILTCP) before marketing, selling, or soliciting ILTCP insurance.
The seven hour ILTCP course is a one-time-only requirement and is classroom only. Upon completion of any LTC course, producers must furnish the insurer with a photocopy of certificate of completion certifying that the producer has satisfied the education requirements.
Traditional LTC requirements. CE Education requirements are waived for agents holding non-resident licenses in any other state.
The seven hour ILTCP requirement does apply if you will be marketing Indiana ILTCP policies.
If you need more information about ILTCP please call (317) 233-1470 or access the website.
These courses are classroom only. There are no Self-Study courses available for ILTCP CE credit.
