Our Mission

Welcome to the Indiana Education Employment Relations Board (IEERB) website!

The Indiana Education Employment Relations Board (IEERB) was established in order to promote harmonious and cooperative relationships between public school teachers and the school corporations they serve.  In order to accomplish this task IEERB has developed rules and guidance to lead school employees and employers through the labor relations process.

The Indiana Code that outlines the functions of IEERB may be found at IC 20-29.

The three primary areas for the agency as determined by the state legislature are:  Unit and Exclusive Representatives, Collective Bargaining and Unfair Practices.  The agency is also responsible for collection of school statistical data on agreements reached and provide access to that information.

The agency has developed this website to make information accessible to the public.  If you cannot find the information that you are looking for please contact our office at 317-233-6620.
