Site List
The Indiana Brownfields Program site list is updated monthly. This list is not an inventory of all brownfield sites in Indiana, only those that are receiving assistance through the Indiana Brownfields Program. This list reflects services in progress as well as those completed. For more information about a new site that is not yet reflected on the list, please contact a member of the Indiana Brownfields Program staff. Please note that some sites appear more than once on the list. These are sites where more than one form of assistance has been received.
The Virtual File Cabinet (VFC) is the online system used to view Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) site files. It also includes the Indiana Brownfields Program site files. Here are some helpful tips for accessing brownfield site information from the VFC:
The Indiana Brownfields Program is collecting important information related to the financial, legal, and technical assistance it has provided since 1997. If you have received assistance from the Program, please complete our survey and submit it to the Program. Your feedback will be instrumental as we evaluate our services so that we can continue to provide the most beneficial assistance to Indiana communities and acknowledge your successes. The Program's award of future financial assistance may depend on having your completed surveys.
Click here to download the survey. Please e-mail or fax completed surveys to

The Town of Ligonier is in the process of recycling materials from demolition of buildings on the four-acre former Essex Wire brownfield site, which is planned for redevelopment as a river park and possibly the future home of a fire station.
