Perry W. Hollowell, Director of In-Service Training

. served nine (9) years with the Vermillion County Sheriff's Department and six (6) years with the Clinton City Police Department prior to joining the staff at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in February of 1991. During his tenure with the Sheriff's Department, Captain Hollowell served as Sheriff, Chief Deputy and Deputy.

Captain Hollowell has an extensive military background, which included graduating from the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy and served for six (6) years as the Deputy Commandant of the Indiana Military Academy. After twenty-two (22) years of service he retired holding the rank of First Sergeant.

He's a graduate of the forty-seventh (47th) Basic Session of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and the one hundred eighty-second (182nd) Session of the FBI National Academy, along with numerous police training programs. Captain Hollowell graduated from Oakland City University with honors and possesses a Master's degree in Management.

Captain Hollowell is also a Master Instructor certified in a number of areas with his primary duty being Director of In-service and Regional Training Programs.
