Alexandria Police Department

The Alexandria Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.  Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and no older than 36 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.  Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, pass a criminal background check, and also pass a physical agility and written test.

Applications may be picked up in person at the Alexandria Police Department located at 201 E. Washington St., Alexandria Indiana, 46001 on Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm.  Applications can also be sent via email by contacting Chief Matt Ellis at alexpolicechief@comcast.net.

Osgood Police Department

The Town of Osgood is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Applicants must be 21 years of age and able to pass a background check. Applications can be picked up at the Town Hall at 147 W. Ripley Street Osgood, IN, or email the Osgood Police Department at OsgoodPD@osgoodindiana.org. Steuben County Sheriff’s Office

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for a Full-time Merit Deputy Sheriff/Road Patrol Officer. To schedule a test date for this position, go to the website: https://www.empco.net/ind and follow the instructions. There is a fee to take the examination, but the results of this test may be accepted by ALL participating Sheriff’s Offices in Indiana. You must complete a profile and schedule and pass the examination no later than October 9, 2017 in order to be considered for this particular job posting.

No applications will be accepted at the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office until the applicant has taken the examination and has been directed by Steuben County Sheriff personnel to complete an application.

Columbia City Police Department

The Columbia City Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.  Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and no older than 36 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.  You must have a valid Indiana Driver's License, pass a criminal background check, and pass a physical agility test and written test.

Clay County Sheriff’s Office

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Reserve Deputy Sheriff. The Reserve Division is a group of unpaid volunteers empowered to assist full-time Sheriff’s Office staff with upholding the law and preserving peace.

Road Qualified Reserves perform patrol duties similar to Merit Deputies in addition to special details such as court services, charity events, festivals, inmate security, and other assignments. Reserves are expected to work a minimum of 16 hours each month, mostly supplementing the Patrol Division, in addition to regular training.

 All candidates must meet these requirements:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must Live in Clay County, or in one of the Surrounding Counties.
• At least 21 Years of age at Time of Hire.
• Have a High School Diploma, or its Equivalency.
• Valid Driver's License.
• No Felony Convictions.

Stinesville Police Department

The town of Stinesville in Monroe County, Indiana, is currently hiring a Reserve Police Officer. Applicants must be a US citizen and a resident of the State of Indiana. Additionally, all applicants must have already completed the 40 Hour Pre-Basic or ILEA, and currently be in good standing.

Logansport Police Department

The Logansport Police Department is now accepting applications for Patrol Officers. There are currently (3) openings on the department for patrol officers. Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department

La Porte County Sheriff's Office

The La Porte County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for a position on the eligibility list for Patrol Deputy. La Porte County offers a competitive salary as well as a benefits package that includes health insurance, eye and dental. Merit deputies only contribute $1.00 a year toward their retirement.

Perspective employees will be required to undergo rigorous physical agility testing which meets the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy's physical agility exit standards. DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department

Bloomington Police Department

The Bloomington Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Probationary Police Officer. All applications must be received by 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25th, 2017. Madison County Sheriff’s Department

The Madison County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff.  There are no openings at this time, however this process will create a hiring list which will be valid until December 31, 2018.

West Lafayette Police Department

Lafayette Police Department

Rockport Police Department

The Rockport Police Department is currently taking applications for a Full-Time Police Officer to create a potential hiring pool for this year. South Bend Police Department

The South Bend Police Department is currently taking applications for Patrol Officers.  Starting pay for a SBPD Recruit is $46,229.00.  Once the recruit completes ILEA he/she will then be sworn in as a Patrolman 2nd Class and the pay will be $51,000.00.  After one year of service at a patrolman 2nd class  the officer will promoted to a Patrolman 1st class and the pay will be $56,861.00. In addition to the base pay the SBPD offers shift incentives ( afternoons $2,500.00 and midnights $3,500.00 a year), education/ military incentive, uniform allowance, take home cars and longevity pay.
