Thomas J. Moore, Staff Instructor

.served over seventeen (17) years in Law Enforcement with the United States Air Force as a Law Enforcement Specialist, the Aurora and Greendale Police Departments in Dearborn County prior to joining the staff at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in October of 2003.

Lieutenant Moore is a graduate of the ninety-ninth (99th) Basic Session of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and has also attended Phillips and Hanover Colleges.

He holds a certification as a Physical Fitness Specialist from the Cooper's Institute and also holds certification as an instructor in Strategies & Tactics of Patrol Stops (S.T.O.P.S.), Emergency Vehicle Operation (EVO), Verbal Judo, OC Spray and the Taser.

Lieutenant Moore's primary duties consist of being the Coordinator of the S.T.O.P.S. and Physical Training programs, assisting with Physical Education/Physical Fitness Assessment, as well as serving as a Drill Instructor for the Basic Course.
