Communications oversees INDOT's obligation to provide citizens, lawmakers and news media access to information about the department's activities. It is responsible for issuing news releases and media advisories with accurate and timely information, providing excellent customer service to all customers and conducting public involvement/public hearing activities. Communications staff also produces an INDOT Annual Report and various communications of general interest, and oversees the agency's website. Graphics staff, within Communications, updates the Indiana State Transportation Map, published every other year.
