The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Can Help With Your Media Needs

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is the state of Indiana’s largest transportation agency.  INDOT has jurisdiction over all Indiana interstates, state roads and U.S. routes.  INDOT also oversees the administration of federal transportation funding to local public agencies in Indiana.  INDOT is committed to improving safety and mobility on Indiana’s roadways, and is driving Indiana’s economic growth through innovative transportation programs such as Major Moves.

Members of the INDOT media relations team are available to serve members of the media.  For general transportation questions – such as highway safety, congestion mitigation, transit, airports, railroads and traffic management centers – contact the INDOT Office of Communications in Indianapolis at (317) 233-2412. 

For project-specific or location-specific questions, including project construction schedules and lane restrictions, contact your District Office and request to speak with your Public Information Officer.
