Indiana's 2024 John R Justice Loan Repayment Program

The Indiana Public Defender Council has partnered with the Indiana Supreme Court to facilitate public defenders' participation in the 2024 John R. Justice (JRJ) Loan Grant Repayment Program. The John R. Justice (JRJ) Loan Grant Repayment Program aims to incentivize qualified individuals to pursue and sustain careers as local and state prosecutors and local, state, or federal public defenders. To apply for the program, please follow the instructions below.

1. Complete the 2024 Indiana John R Justice Application.
2. Once completed, go to portal.courts.in.gov and sign in.
3. Next to "My tools and Settings," click "Upload a document."  See image
4. Choose the document type "2024 Indiana John R. Justice Application.
5. Once you choose the document type, instructions will appear, and you can browse for your completed application.
6. Click "Preview" to review the document one last time before you submit it and ensure you chose the right file.
7. Click "Submit" to send the file.
