Indiana District Law (IC-14-32-Chapter 7) mandates that the Division of Soil Conservation strengthen the capabilities of local soil and water conservation districts (Section 1 (b) 2), as well as provide coordination and consultative services to obtain increased participation by the districts in the development of improved local land use practices and decisions (Section 9 (2)).
