On-Line Recertification
Please note that agencies will not receive faxed reminders of breath test certification expiration dates. Each officer must check his/her expiration date on their current certification card.
It is recommended that officers do not wait until the last few days of the month to recertify. Officers may recertify as early as several months in advance of their card expiration.
On-Line Recertification may be completed by going to the registration website: http://rti.adobeconnect.com/p29394157/ (Be sure to turn off Pop-Up Blockers BEFORE you attempt the tests)
Note: Recertification must be completed prior to the expiration date printed on the current operator ID card. Officers certifying after the expiration date will not be re-certified.
Breath Test School
Breath Test Operator Schools (BTS) are 2-day training classes (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) for officers who are not yet certified operators.
Update: New classes are being offered for 2013 at ILEA. Each class is a two-day session.

If enrollment is requested for a class that is fully scheduled, you will be assigned a reservation in the next available class. ISDT will review registrant's request and will determine appropriate scheduling on a per agency basis. Accepted registrants will be given a reservation and notified via FAX from ISDT. The reservation must be confirmed by checking the "will attend" box on the provided form and faxing the form back to ISDT.
Notes:
ISDT Fee for BTS is $300 per registrant. A separate ILEA Fee will apply, please contact ILEA for details;
Casual Professional dress is required per ILEA standards;
Lunch will be provided;

ONLY last 4 digits of SSN. The SSN determines operator ID number.
The request must be on agency letterhead and signed by the Training Director, Chief of Police or Sheriff.
All classes are held at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield.
