92 County Walk

See a complete list of the 92 Counties and their icons.

92_Carroll.jpgThe 92 County Walk is a one–of–a–kind art experience that features Indiana’s 92 counties through an original sculpture for each county. The sculptures are incorporated into the building’s façade, sidewalks—and even a stair rail. The collection of sculptures is a creative showcase for the craftsmanship of Indiana artisans, and together they are designed to engage your imagination about the state’s rich cultural history.

Ideas for the designs were developed by gathering information about the special qualities and major sources of pride of each county from community organizations and county historians.

The 92 sculptures were designed by David Jemerson Young and Jeff Laramore of 2nd Globe Sculptures, an Indianapolis–based sculpture design company. More than 20 Hoosier artisans working in various media sculpted the pieces based on 2nd Globe Sculptures’ designs.92_Steuben.jpg

Visitors are invited to stroll the exterior of the Indiana State Museum and find 92 sculptures that artistically depict each of the state’s counties.

A coffee-table book highlighting the 92 County Walk is available is for sale in the Museum Gift Shop.

Many of the 92 County Walk icon photos used on this site were photographed by Garry Chilluffo.
