Q: How far in advance should I book my wedding?

A: The general rule for wedding planning is to begin at least six months in advance. However, your planning timeframe is largely dependent on the availability of the location at which you plan to hold the wedding and the reception. The Indiana State Museum requires that weddings and wedding receptions are booked at least 90 days in advance.
