gsp_bldgext.jpgGene Stratton-Porter, a best selling author, photographer and naturalist had a home built on 120 wooded acres on the shore of Sylvan Lake. Here she spent countless hours transplanting rare and endangered wild flowers onto the property establishing a large formal garden and continuing her work.
