What do ancient artifacts, knitting, mastodonts, and Civil War soldiers all have in common?  They are all a part of this year’s summer camp program at the Indiana State Museum.  With the warm winds of summer approaching summer camps will kick off on June 9th for another fun filled summer.  Over the past five years the summer camp program has continued to grow and fascinate young minds on a wide range of topics.  This year will prove to be no different.

Camps at the state museum are not your average summer camp experience.  Campers become immersed in their subject matter and take an active role in discovering past life or encountering new worlds.  Camp activities encourage children to work in teams while also expressing individual creativity.  Children become more than passive participants, they become the archaeologist, photographer, historian or naturalist.

This year’s camps lineup brings many of campers’ favorite camps back, while adding new experiences.  Use the links at the left or below to find out more about each of the camps offered in 2008.

Before and after care is available.

Cancellation Policy:
Deposits are non-refundable less than seven days prior to camp.  If a program is cancelled, every effort will be made to contact participants 24 hours in advance.
